Amanda Delgado
Amanda Delgado is a Ph.D. in Education student specializing in Learning Sciences in the School of Education at the University of Delaware. Her current research interests include language acquisition and how play promotes learning.
She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies from Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, FL in 2018. Her undergraduate honors thesis, titled Individual Differences in Adults’ Intersensory Processing Predict Performance on Standardized Cognitive Tests, centered on adult attention skills and their executive function skills.
Prior to joining the Child’s Play, Learning and Development Lab at UD, she worked as a post-baccalaureate research assistant at the Infant Development Lab at FIU, where she assisted in research investigating perceptual, cognitive, and social development of infants and young children.
