Middle School Mathematics
Concentration coordinator: Eric Sisofo
Teacher candiates who pursue this concentration can become eligible for middle school mathematics certification when they successfully complete the following courses with a grade of C- or better and pass the relevant Praxis Subject Assessment. In order to be matriculated into the Middle School Mathematics concentration, you need to take the mathematics placement test and obtain a minimum score to be placed into either MATH115, MATH231, or MATH241 as detailed on the Math Placement Website. Also, prior to enrolling in the student teaching experience (EDUC 400), students must also have a minimum GPA of 2.75 in their MATH courses, including MATH 251, 252, and 253.
