Teacher Leadership: Leading From Your Classroom
School-based teacher leadership is a growing trend in today’s schools.
Through the everyday work of instruction, teachers develop critical insights about the teaching and learning process that often go unheard. Teacher leadership enables educators to extend their sphere of influence beyond the walls of their own classrooms.
By becoming a teacher leader, you can provide opportunities for other teachers to share classroom wisdom, engage in collaborative professional development, and plan for and enact school-wide change.
Become a Teacher Leader
Earn your master’s degree through a completely online environment from a university with nationally-ranked graduate programs.
The School of Education at the University of Delaware offers an online M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership program for current PK-12 teachers. Through highly interactive virtual learning media our students explore the intricacies of becoming a Teacher Leader, while under the guidance of enthusiastic and knowledgeable faculty.
Courses are offered online in 7-week sessions. Thirty credits (10 courses) are required to complete the program, which can be completed in two years.
