A candidate meets with a school district representative at the job fair

Our graduates move on to diverse careers in positions such as teachers, school psychologists, administrators, researchers, and faculty members at colleges and universities. Job search tools vary by the type of position sought.

Faculty advisors are an important source of information about the job search, so be sure to talk to your advisor about your professional plans.

Project Search

Alumni and students alike are welcome to attend the annual Project Search job fair in April that is sponsored by the Career Services Center and the University Council on Teacher Education (UCTE). In April 2014, representatives from 99 schools, districts, and organizations met with students in thousands of interviews

Project Search is more than just a job fair.  In addition to conducting actual interviews and sharing information about anticipated vacancies, recruiters often provide job search advice. They share tips with students about how to present themselves, develop a professional network and gain a competitive edge in the job market.

Career Services Center

The Career Services Center (CSC) has a wealth of resources for career development and job seekers, including an online database of jobs and internships. People interested in hiring School of Education students either on a part-time or full-time basis should also contact the CSC.
